Historical places have also attracted me. I find it amazing how we have the opportunity to travel to the past and see how our forebearers lived, what they worshipped, and even what problems they dealt with or what they thought about. One of the most interesting places I have visited so far was Herculaneum andContinue reading “UNESCO’s World Heritage in Turkey: Göbekli Tepe”

My Camino Experience
(Part 1) It has passed a year since my Camino de Santiago experience. I have heard about the Camino (St. James Way) more than 15 years ago, however, I have never really considered on walking it. About 10 years ago, when I visited Guernica (part of Camino del Norte), stayed at albergue (a type ofContinue reading “My Camino Experience”

Skrit biser Mediterana, mesto duhov in otok študentov
English version is here. Če želite obiskati otok, boste morali z letalom najprej v Turčijo, šele nato boste lahkoContinue reading “Skrit biser Mediterana, mesto duhov in otok študentov”
Snow covered Istanbul
Chaotic traffic and fun with snow. No school for 2~3 days. After 3 days of snow, most of the main streets are clean and traffic safe, however side streets are still full of snow and dangerous for pedestrians. This doesn`t prevent motocyclists and drivers without winter tyres to use their vehicle.
A la turca :)
There is no doubt that every nation has some customs or tradition that foreigners find curious, funny, strange, … Here are some turkish customs that I find interesting or typically turkish: ( function() { if (window.CHITIKA === undefined) { window.CHITIKA = { ‘units’ : [] }; }; var unit = { ‘publisher’ : “turkinja”, ‘width’Continue reading “A la turca :)”
